So far the Potomac-Chesapeake Dolphin Project has identified around 2000 dolphins! As a tribute to our local and national history, the PCDP names dolphins after significant historical figures in U.S. history. We started with our Founding Fathers, then presidents, their wives, and their children, then down the chain of command to vice presidents and their families, and so forth.

Check out a few of the dolphins we see frequently in the Potomac. Recognize anyone? If so, be sure to contact us here and send us your photos with the suspected ID!
